STOP PRESS - B.S.P.S. AREA 1b
Disaster!!!!!!!! We have had to cancel the show on Saturday 3rd May at Westmorland County Showground. The ground is waterlogged and would be unable to park the wagons etc. The field where the rings are is stood in water, so making them not safe for the competitors.
I would be most grateful if you could put this message on your Website and tell anyone who you see or Speak to.
We are going to re run the show on Saturday 31st May 2008 at the same venue. We will undate the Website regarding judges etc.

...What regions does Area 10 cover?...
Area 10 covers Shropshire and bordering counties. It is up to individual members to choose which area they wish to be in but as a rule they are included in the area closest to their address.
...Area 10 Shows...
Area 10 holds approximately three shows a year. Two Winter Shows (one WHP and one Flat), plus a Spring Show. The Winter shows are held at RODBASTON COLLEGE, Nr. Penkridge, Staffordshire and the Spring Show is held at the Shropshire & West Midlands Showground, Shrewsbury. The Spring Show has R.I.H.S. Qualifiers for WHP, SHP, LR Hunter Type, Intermediate SH, PP SHP, Intermediate SRT, FR, LR, Pretty Polly SP, SP, Pretty Polly LR and FR and Heritage LR and FR. In addition there are R.I.H.S. Qualifiers for Riding Horses, Hacks, Cobs and Arabs.

...Area 10 Points Competition...
During the summer season all riding members can gain points at shows affiliated to the B.S.P.S. These points are then forwarded to Miss Sarah Challinor (Points Secretary) by the end of September where trophies and beautiful rosettes are awarded at the annual prize-giving Dinner & Disco in the autumn.

...Area 10 Young Judges...
Training sessions are organised for the Young Judges Competition, which is held every year at the BSPS Summer Championships. In past years Area 10 have been very successful. In 1997 they won and in 1998 they were second. In 2004 our team came a very close second, only half a mark behind the winning team! There is also a competition for Individual Competitors. To do the Individual, candidates must be at least 18 years old. Training sessions for Teams and the Individual are held together. For more details please ring Mrs Julie McCormack on 01939 250997.
...Area 10 Teach-Ins...
Area 10 hold a Teach-In every year. This year we are holding a combined WHP & FLATWORK CLINIC in February. FLATWORK sessions are to be taught by Katy Carter and Sarah Challinor. For more details please ring Mrs Martin on 01948 710801.
